Multi-scale modeling information including scale conversions, paint cross-reference charts, and similar data.
Historical Societies can provide a wealth of information about a specific railroad, often having research materials covering motive power, rolling stock, signaling, structures, employees, and other prototype data. Many have resources specific to modeling, such as kit-bashing and scratch-building references and reviews of new products wearing their road's livery.
No room for a layout at home? There are many clubs and associations where like-minded modelers gather in communities around the globe to share in model railroading. Just a few are listed here currently, but we're adding more.
